Health & Safety Policy

Crown Building Services is dedicated to providing a safe working environment for all members of staff, customers and all others who may be affected by our work.
All members of staff are fully trained in all aspects of their work, and health and safety is at the forefront of our concerns.

Maintaining a high level of health and safety is the responsibility of both management and employees;

Responsibilities of management

 Ensure adequate and frequent training programs for all members of staff, and confirm that these standards are maintained
 Provide appropriate safety devices and clothing, and ensure these are maintained and replaced whenever necessary
 Provide safe working environments, and maintain standards in accordance with legislation
 Guarantee positive work ethics through providing a high-quality example of operating standards
 Establish regular audit checks of all equipment
 Implement an effective procedure for reporting all accidents
 A thorough investigation must be carried out following any reported accident, and if appropriate, relevant measures must be implemented

Responsibilities of Employees

 Ensure a personal awareness of health and safety within all their work in order to protect themselves and all others who may be affected by their procedures
 Practice total cooperation with management in reaching implemented standards
 Communicate with management on all issues regarding health and safety
 Wear protective equipment/clothing when provided and utilize all safety devices to minimize risk of injury
 Report all accidents – those involving injury to persons, damage to equipment and near misses to your supervisor as soon as possible so that effective actions can be taken
 Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety and welfare

The company also keeps a COSHH file of all substances used by the company. This information is available to all employees who wish to inspect it

The company has a Health and Safety consultants for dealing with all Health and Safety incidents.
The safety officer for Crown Building Services will report directly to the Managing Director.

As Managing Director, I have your health and safety in mind by working together we shall achieve the aims of the policy, namely to secure health, safety and welfare of all employees of Crown Building Services

This Policy will be reviewed every 12 months.
